Role Summary

We are seeking a Production Support Specialist with experience in the Payments domain, responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of payment applications in production environments. The role focuses on application support, proactive monitoring, and timely incident resolution to ensure seamless business operations, with flexibility to work in a 24/7 rotational shift model.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor applications and perform proactive troubleshooting to ensure system stability.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents as part of L2 support, adhering to defined SLAs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and critical issues, and drive preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and business stakeholders to gather required information and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage alerts, incidents, service requests, and problem tickets using standard tools.
  • Perform log analysis, execute SQL queries, and validate data to support issue resolution.
  • Follow ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Support production deployments and participate in release validation activities.
  • Maintain and update runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders.
  • Be flexible to work in shifts, supporting a 24/7 production environment.

What You Bring

Must-Have Skills

  • 2–5 years of experience in Production Support, preferably within the Payments or Banking domain.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • JAVA
  • Kubernetes
  • Kafka
  • SQL and MongoDB
  • Unix/Linux commands
  • Experience with incident management and collaboration tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, New Relic, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of APIs and integration concepts.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in scripting or automation (e.g., Shell, Python).
  • Familiarity with automating repetitive support tasks and operational processes.
