About the Role:
We are looking for an L2 Network Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA/ZTA) to support and secure our enterprise network environment. This role will be based in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai, and will focus on firewall operations, VPNs, routing, and Zero‑Trust‑style security controls via Zscaler in a financial‑services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 network and security support for FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching.
- Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls, policies, NAT, routing, HA, VPN (IPsec/SSL), IPS, web filtering, and DLP.
- Manage Zscaler ZIA / ZPA / ZTA environments: access policies, user connectivity, On‑Premise Connectors, and basic troubleshooting.
- Investigate and resolve network incidents, latency, connectivity issues, and security alerts.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, configuration backups, and change management for security devices.
- Analyze logs and security events from FortiGate and Zscaler to identify anomalies and policy violations.
- Support projects related to Zero Trust initiatives, secure access, and security policy rollout.
- Maintain clear documentation of configurations, SOPs, and incident reports.
Skills & Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in network security / firewall operations, preferably in banking/NBFC / financial services.
- Strong hands‑on experience with FortiGate firewalls (NSE level certifications).
- Practical exposure to Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
- Solid understanding of:
- TCP/IP, VLANs, routing (static, OSPF), NAT, VPN (IPsec/SSL).
- Basic Linux commands and log analysis.
- Core security concepts: IDS/IPS, DLP, web filtering, application control.
- Familiarity with SIEM / monitoring tools.
Preferred Certifications (Nice‑to‑have):
- Fortinet NSE Level
- Zscaler Certified Associate
- CCNA / CCNP Security
- CompTIA Security+
