Job description:
We are seeking a L1 Support Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to provide first-level technical support and ensure smooth IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of systems and networking fundamentals, and the ability to efficiently handle customer queries in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 (L1) technical support for applications, systems, and infrastructure
- Monitor systems, alerts, and dashboards (Grafana, Kibana, etc.)
- Handle incident management and log tickets using tools like Freshdesk / ServiceNow
- Perform initial troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams when required
- Maintain proper documentation of issues and resolutions
- Ensure adherence to SLA and response timelines
- Coordinate with internal teams for faster resolution
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Linux / Windows OS
- Understanding of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with ticketing tools (Freshdesk, ServiceNow, Jira)
- Knowledge of log monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana – good to have)
- Basic understanding of SQL / databases
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good communication skills (verbal & written)
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to AWS / Cloud platforms
- Basic knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD)
- Experience in API testing (Postman)
- SFTP / server handling experience
Candidates must be comfortable working in rotational shifts (including night shifts)
