Interpath is growing its central KYC team and is looking for a
Junior KYC Officer/KYC Officer to join our office in
India. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to build strong foundations in
KYC, compliance, and risk management within a professional services environment.
In this role, you will help support the onboarding of new clients across several international jurisdictions. You will work closely with client engagement teams to make sure all client information is complete, accurate, and compliant with our internal and AML regulatory requirements.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, curious, and eager to learn how global businesses operate.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
KYC & Client Onboarding
- Collect and review documents from new clients to verify their identity and business activities
- Apply the correct level of due diligence (SDD, CDD or EDD) depending on the client's risk level
- Help ensure that all required information is complete before a project begins
Screening & Background Checks
- Review screening results for PEPs, sanctions, and negative news
- Flag any unusual or high‑risk findings to senior team members
- Analyse different types of corporate structures and ownership chains
Data Entry & Internal Systems
- Submit and complete risk assessments on our KYC platform
- Help ensure that all onboarding steps follow internal compliance processes via our internal systems
Teamwork & Continuous Learning
- Work closely with the MLRO team located in the UK to coordinate onboarding steps
- Contribute to improving our KYC and risk management processes

Experience Required:
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in KYC, AML, CTF, compliance, or risk management (internships and traineeships count)
- Basic understanding of corporate structures (e.g., shareholders, directors, UBOs)
- Knowledge of international regulations is a plus, but not absolutely required
Skills & Qualities
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Comfortable working with documents, databases, and internal systems
- Curious, proactive, and willing to learn new concepts
- Able to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written)
