The Software Engineer is a leadership position responsible for the security, application development and advanced technical programming support of the OneSIS Student Information System, DocuSign, Integrations and ISE job environment.  

Position Duties

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science or a closely related field. 
  • 3-5 years of significant hands-on experience programming complex customizations in an Ellucian environment. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in object oriented design and programming using Java, Node JS, SQL, XML and React.
  • 3-5 years programming experience in three or more of the following languages:  JAVA/J2EE/JavaScript, XML, SQR, SQL, HTML, React. 
  • Knowledge of common cloud technology stacks (AWS, Azure, REST/JSON, Node. JS) 
  • Experience Working with Ellucian solutions, such as EDM
  • Ability to work independently, as well as on teams, with little or no supervision
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science
  • 2-3 years of supporting Student Information Systems such as Peoplesoft, Banner in a development role
  • Experience in Higher Education
  • Starfish experience

The starting salary range for this position is $76,577 - $86,565.


This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval.
