Kraft Tank is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close and reporting activities. What You’ll do:
· Support the Core Accounting Functions
o Assist with journal entries, accruals, and monthly account reconciliations.
o Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting schedules.
o Help ensure accounting records are complete, organized, and up to date.
o Support the Director of Accounting with daily accounting priorities and special projects.
· Support Month-End Close & Financial Accuracy
o Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
o Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet accounts.
o Research discrepancies, resolve variances, and recommend corrections.
· Partner with AP & AR Teams
o Provide backup support and assistant to Accounts Payable and Account Receivable Specialist as needed.
o Coordinate with AP on vendor balances, coding questions, and payment related reconciliations.
o Coordinate with AR on customer balances, credit applications, and collections support.
· Reporting & Controls
o Prepare internal reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for leadership review.
o Assist with audits, tax filing, and compliance reporting.
o Follow internal controls, accounting policies, and established procedures.
o Identify opportunities to improve process, accuracy, and efficiency.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Ideal candidate has four years of accounting experience
· Experience with Salesforce and Certinia preferred
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with adaptability to all levels of the company and external contacts
· Ability to meet deadlines and manage expectations for deadlines in a positive manner
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift to 25 lbs. as needed for office responsibilities.
· Able to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time.
· Computer and office equipment use for the duration of a day.
