Assistant Manager– Reporting & Financial Analysis
Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for management
Analyze P&L, cost center performance, margins, and key financial ratios
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with detailed commentary
Prepare management decks and dashboards highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end close reporting
Cost Accounting & Controls
Oversee product/process/project cost accounting, including cost allocation and absorption
Review standard costing, actual costing, and variance analysis; recommend corrective actions
Monitor cost drivers, efficiency metrics, and operational KPIs
Partner with operations/business teams to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities
Audit, Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
Coordinate and support internal, statutory, and cost audits
Review reconciliations, schedules, and documentation for audit readiness
Systems, Process & Team Support
Ensure effective use of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/other) for reporting and cost tracking
Drive process standardization, automation, and reporting improvements
Mentor junior team members and review their outputs for accuracy and completeness
Act as a key liaison between finance, operations, and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
Educational qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or AccountingCA / CMA / MBA (Finance) – preferred
Work experience
5–8 years of relevant experience in reporting, cost accounting, or management accounting
Mandatory technical & functional skills
Strong expertise in management reporting and cost accounting concepts
Advanced MS Excel skills; working knowledge of ERP systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
Attention to detail with a strong control mindset
