The Clinic RN Lead is proficient in all the duties of the registered nurse and functions as the resource person for the nursing team. Mentor and support operations nursing teams, provide direct patient care, act as a liaison between the Clinic Leadership and the nurse team.
Essential Job Functions:
· Lead or participate in quality initiatives, addressing patient complaints and clinical inefficiencies.
· Recommend and implement updates to clinical protocols and best practices.
· Coordinate schedules for nursing staff and providers patient schedule
· Provide clinical support to RNs and MAs, act as liaison between staff and Clinic Leadership
· Mentor and train new and current staff in clinical procedures, policy, and compliance.
· Delegate patient care tasks and cover as needed.
· Coordinate all patient care processes in the clinic setting.
· Perform department core and job specific clinical competencies.
· Responsible for patient flow including pre-examination triage, documentation of vital signs, summary of patient complaints, and moving patients into and out of exam rooms.
· Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and medicines in current status and keeps clinical area neat and clean.
· Follow hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
· Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
· Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
· Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.
Minimum Qualifications:
· ADN or BSN in accredited nursing program.
· 1-2 years previous experience in a clinical lead setting is preferred.
· Current Idaho RN or LPN license, in good standing
· BLS
Full time, 36 hours per week, 9-hour shifts, availability M-F and some Saturdays
