Role: Senior Devops Lab Engineer

Key Responsibilities

KodeKloud is seeking an Senior DevOps Lab Engineer to impact the lives of millions of engineers worldwide through.

The key responsibilities for this position are categorized into five main areas, as

detailed below:

1. Content Strategy and Development
2. Team Leadership and Management
3. Hands-on Development
4. Collaboration and Communication
5. External Engagement

Content Strategy and Development

1. Identify and explore new opportunities to create labs around current trends in DevOps, Cloud Native technologies, and emerging tech such as AIOps, MLOps, etc.
2. Collaborate with the Content team and the CTO to prioritize and execute long-overdue tasks, including creating new mock exams for the CKS course, enhancing existing mock exams, and developing cloud-based challenges and similar courses.
3. Contribute to the ideation and development of new labs by working closely with the KodeKloud Engineer team and the engineering team.

Team Leadership and Management

1. Provide technical leadership to the team of lab developers at KodeKloud.
2. Facilitate prioritization of tasks, conduct weekly meetings with the team to understand challenges, issues, and explore ideas internally.
3. Work with the content and engineering teams to resolve any challenges or issues faced by the lab development team.
4. Delegate tasks to lab developers, ensuring accountability for the timely release of high-quality content.
5. Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet the desired quality standards and are delivered within the agreed-upon timelines.

Hands-on Development

1. Actively participate in the development of lab content, leveraging your technical expertise to create engaging and informative labs.
2. Ensure the technical accuracy, relevance, and quality of the content created by the lab development team.
3. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the content remains current and valuable to learners.

Collaboration and Communication

1. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the lab development team, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
2. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Content, Engineering, and KodeKloud Engineer teams, to align priorities and ensure seamless execution of projects.
3. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of lab development initiatives and any challenges or roadblocks encountered.

External Engagement

1. Participate in calls with external trainers to ideate opportunities for adding labs to the courses they are working on, ensuring alignment with their learning objectives and KodeKloud's content strategy.
2. Conduct demos of the KodeKloud platform for B2B clients, showcasing the wide variety of labs available and highlighting how the hands-on learning approach can help organizations upskill their

teams in DevOps and cloud-native technologies.

1. Gather feedback and insights from external trainers and B2B clients to continuously improve the lab content and the overall learning experience.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Minimum 5 years experience in Linux Systems Administration
2. Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
3. Professional working experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer, Vagrant, and Terraform
4. Experience automating tasks with Python, Shell Scripting, and JSON queries.
5. Proficiency in using SDK for the above-mentioned cloud technologies, CLI, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and configuration management
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
7. Strong leadership and project management abilities
8. Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into actionable plans
9. Passion for creating high-quality educational content and helping others learn and grow
10. Comfort with client-facing interactions and the ability to effectively demonstrate the value of KodeKloud's offerings

Preferred Qualifications

Brownie points if you possess below abilities, knowledge or experience -

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
2. Relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud, or related technologies would be a bonus
3. Experience in creating online learning content or tutorials
4. Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams
