Role: Backend Engineer

• Salary: Rs. 25-40 lakhs per annum

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop the backend infrastructure for our in-house LMS platform using Ruby on Rails.
2. Implement and maintain scalable architecture while utilizing event sourcing frameworks like Sequent.
3. Work closely with other developers to decide on API contracts for specific use cases.
4. Ensure the technical feasibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability using RoR best practices.
5. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in RoR development and apply best practices.
6. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure that development meet specifications.
7. Troubleshoot and debug issues, and collaborate with the QA team to ensure the quality of the final product.

The Person:
To be successful in this role, one must have -

1. Proven 3+ years experience as a backend developer maintaining and developing live production services.
2. In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework with 2+ years of working experience.
3. Hands-on experience with Grape, and Sequent or similar event-sourced frameworks/architecture.
4. Solid understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preference:

Brownie points if you possess below abilities, knowledge or experience -

1. Experience with cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
2. Knowledge of serverless architecture.
3. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
