Accessibility Tester

Role Overview: We're looking for a skilled and passionate Accessibility Tester to join our team. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our web-based platform meets global accessibility standards and delivers a seamless experience to all users. Key Responsibilities: Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing on Knowmax's web application. Ensure compliance with standards like WCAG 2.1, WCAG 2.3 (draft), ADA, and Section 508. Identify and document issues related to: Screen reader compatibility Keyboard navigation Colour contrast Forms and interactive components Collaborate with designers and developers to recommend and verify fixes for accessibility gaps. Generate clear, actionable test reports and present findings to stakeholders. Stay current with accessibility tools, trends, and best practices to enhance testing methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications: Hands-on experience in accessibility testing for web platforms. Strong knowledge of WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 guidelines. Proficient with tools like Axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, NVDA, and VoiceOver. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they pertain to accessibility issues. Exposure to assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, etc.). Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Sharp attention to detail and a user-first approach to problem-solving. Bonus Skills (Good to Have): Certifications like CPACC or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS). Experience integrating accessibility into automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). Understanding of accessibility features in modern web browsers.
