Leadership of the Knowledge Management function
- Work with function Managers to ensure a sales pipeline is in place and visible across the team
- Own the RFP Automation suite and ensure it is fit for purpose (process and content) for use both in Bid Management as well as in wider sales enablement
- To manage the curation of Knowledge content ensuring that each item has an owner, a curation cycle and can be trusted by users
- To own Bid Team templates (Word, PPT and other) to ensure they are up to date and in-line with Strada standards
- With the Knowledge Team, to ensure that the bid management function has access to company-wide winning content, and to extend this to sales and solutions where possible.
- With the Knowledge and Proposal Coordination teams, to ensure that submitted proposals are dissected and recycled into the RFP Automation platform for future use.
- To identify Knowledge items in the wider Strada infrastructure, and to work with Proposal Management to turn them into winning copy for use across Strada.
Leadership of the Proposal Coordination function
- To ensure that Strada proposal projects are compliant, reportable and auditable at all times
- To ensure pre-proposal work is findable across the opportunity pursuit team
- To ensure win:loss debriefs are carried out on closed opportunities to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- To ensure that content fills are carried out through the RFP Automation platform to a high standard for both Bid Team and wider Sales Enablement users
- To ensure that standard Proposal process items (references, legal/financial requests and others) are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
Mentoring, leadership and management
- Line management of a team of Knowledge Managers and Proposal Coordinators, ensuring strong personnel administration and professional development are in place.
- To mentor junior team members (or oversee mentoring) to ensure that support is available as needed.
- To embed a culture of professional development within the team, aligned with Global Bid Team and market best practice standards
- To support the Manager of Proposal Operations in setting clear, achievable and challenging goals within the bid and opportunity operations function.
Budget, reporting and improvement
- To support regular reporting on key effectiveness items including Win:Loss rates and reasons, deal velocity, knowledgebase health and project compliance metrics, volume metrics, attainment to annual goals, revenue and potentials for improvement within the process.
- To support development and delivery of training, both inside the Global Bid Management team and out to external stakeholders
- To develop a culture of knowledge recycling, embedding Win:Loss, competitive and landscape information into both the pre- and post-bid processes.
- To maintain a process library describing core bid and opportunity process documentation.
- To take part in the wider Sales Operations and Strada business improvement catalogue as needed.
Stakeholder management
- To maintain a portfolio of stakeholder engagement channels to ensure that knowledge content is effectively identified and ingested, and that Proposal Projects are identified and enabled efficiently.
- To act as an escalation point within Proposal Operations
To actively engage with a network of Strada (and Partner) business stakeholders as needed to monitor the health and potential of Strada Proposals
