About the role
Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Design Engineer with knowledge of Siemens NX CAD, SolidWorks to support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies. The candidate will be responsible for 3D modelling, 2D drafting, assembly design, and preparing engineering drawings as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Create 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using Siemens NX CAD, Solid Works.
Prepare 2D engineering drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
Develop part models, assembly models, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications.
Perform basic design modifications and update existing CAD models.
Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles wherever required.
Understand manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication and injection moulding.
Maintain CAD models, drawings and engineering documentation.
Coordinate with senior design engineers and other departments to resolve design-related issues.
Follow company design standards, engineering procedures, and project timelines.
Technical Skills
Mechanics of materials, Manufacturing process, Basic idea of jigs & fixtures, Plastic design, NPD, Material selection, Heavy fabrication, Structure designs
CAD Tools
Siemens NX CAD, Solid Works; (Catia, Creo, Hyper mesh, Teamcenter are added advantage),
Microsoft Technologies
Microsoft office, Teams, OneDrive.
