Job Title: Software Test Engineer – Automation

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer – Automation to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in web and mobile application automation testing, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset toward quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot test execution logs, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain and enhance the existing automation framework.
• Conduct regression testing and identify system malfunctions.
• Write clear and concise bug reports, and track issues through resolution.
  
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of hands-on project experience in automation testing of web and mobile applications.
• Good understanding of STLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong project exposure to test planning, test estimation and test reporting.
• Strong knowledge of test automation script development and troubleshooting using Selenium,
• Playwright or Cypress framework(s) using TDD and/or BDD approach.
• Strong experience with programming languages Java, JavaScript or Python.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Mocha.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, and web debugging tools.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and with continuous integration using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Exposure to test orchestration platforms like Lambdatest, Browserstack, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
  

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of performance testing or security testing.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or Swagger and related automation.
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
