LATAM About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Robotics Engineer to join our Advanced Robotics team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing advanced robotic systems for manipulation and autonomous navigation. You will report directly to the Leader of the Advanced Robotics Department and collaborate closely with the AI & Robotics team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a cutting-edge technology startup and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art robotic technologies. Responsibilities A typical day in this role might include: Designing, developing, and implementing robotic systems for autonomous navigation and manipulation in C++ and Python using ROS2. Integrating and optimizing motion planning, localization, and perception algorithms. Conducting simulation and real-world testing to validate performance. Working with sensors, actuators, and embedded systems to enhance robotic capabilities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineers for system integration Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in Robotics and AI. Requirements This role might be a great fit if you have: Proficient English (B2 or C1 level) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in robotics software development, particularly ROS2 for motion planning, localization, or perception. Proficiency in C++ and Python. Systems-level understanding of the various software modules and their interfaces in a robotic application (ROS/ROS2, simulators, etc.). Hands-on experience with robotic manipulation. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders Bonus Points For: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. Valid US Visa. Proficiency with various robot learning techniques (Reinforcement Learning, imitation learning, etc.). Experience with robot simulation using tools like isaac sim or gazebo. Experience working with modern computer vision algorithms (segmentation, tracking, object detection.), sensors (LiDAR, camera, radar, etc.), 3D (meshes, point clouds, etc.).
