Role Description The Kitchen Assistant role is a part-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves supporting daily kitchen operations, including washing, chopping, and preparing vegetables and other ingredients for customized salads. The Kitchen Assistant will help assemble orders, ensure proper food storage, maintain cleanliness of workstations, and follow hygiene and safety guidelines. The role also includes assisting with inventory checks, restocking supplies, and coordinating with the front-of-house or delivery staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Flexibility to work peak hours and collaborate with the kitchen team is essential.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Preparation and Cooking to assist in making fresh, high-quality salads and related items.
- Candidates should possess strong Hygiene and Food & Beverage handling skills to maintain safe, clean, and compliant kitchen operations.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to support a positive experience for guests and delivery partners when needed.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety standards, and portion control is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and peak hours, are important.
