As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Generalist to support our workforce across both field and office operations. This role will play a key part in maintaining a strong company culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting employees throughout the full employment lifecycle.

 

Position Overview

The HR Generalist will support day-to-day human resources functions including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR operations. This role works closely with Talent Acquisition, field leadership, and executive teams to ensure a seamless employee experience from hire to retention.

 

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers
  • Address employee concerns, provide guidance, and support conflict resolution
  • Assist with performance management, corrective actions, and policy interpretation
  • Promote positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives

 

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and leave administration
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefits questions
  • Work with HR Manager to coordinate open enrollment and benefit changes
  • Assist HR Manager, brokers, and vendors to resolve benefits-related issues
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate of premium deductions

 

401(k) & Retirement Administration:

  • Manage employee 401(k) enrollments, changes, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with retirement plan providers
  • Support employee education regarding retirement benefits
  • Ensure plan compliance and timely processing

 

Compliance:

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support policy development and HR process improvements

 

Training & Development:

  • Help facilitate employee orientation programs
  • Support ongoing employee training initiatives
  • Help standardize HR and operational training processes

Requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience in construction or field-based workforce environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance
  • Experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
