Paralegal (Part-Time)

We are seeking a part-time (minimum 3 days) Paralegal to join our Sydney CBD Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal with experience in Personal Injury Law. ABOUT YOU We are looking for a paralegal with the following qualities: 2nd to 4th year Law Student Demonstrably excellent academic results (credit/distinction average) Professional, articulate, and friendly communication skills Organisational skills, attention to detail, and good typing skills Willingness and motivation to learn, and enthusiastic initiative Strong proficiency with Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook Prior legal experience is HIGHLY regarded, but not strictly necessary Experience with LEAP is HIGHLY regarded, but not essential ABOUT THE ROLE In this role, you will be responsible for: Assisting a Senior Solicitor on a range of Personal Injury matters including Workers Compensation, Work Injury Damages, Public Liability, Motor Vehicle Accident, Medical Negligence and Superannuation TPD claims Drafting various correspondence, legal documents, pleadings, witness statements and other important documents Preparing briefs to barristers, expert witnesses and medico-legal assessors Communication with clients via email and phone calls Possibility of autonomy regarding the management of matters, once you have demonstrated your ability to do so General administrative tasks and diary management Opportunity for promotion and advancement, with commensurate salary increases for the right candidate
