Position Purpose:
All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI’s vision of providing the region’s best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.
| Works under the direction of the director, assistant director, and supervisor to perform a variety of activities related to the transportation of patients, specimens, and equipment to and from the Imaging Services department. |
Key Responsibilities [List of material responsibilities and essentials duties which must be completed in achieving the objectives of the position]

· Ability to safely lift and physically manipulate patients.
· Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
· Ability to focus and demonstrate visual and auditory acuity for watching monitors and following instructions during procedures.
· Operate assigned equipment and perform all procedures in a safe manner while delivering high quality service to patients and customers.
· Maintains the area, equipment and supplies. Removes outdated supplies and returns to materials management.
· Performs daily cleaning of all patient transport equipment.
· Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Regularly applies AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) as well as other evidence-based behaviors when taking care of patients. Shows empathy care to patients and family members present.
- Practices standard precautions during patient contact and while handling contaminated materials.
- Complies with CDC hand hygiene guidelines and works to reduce hospital acquired infections and other conditions.
- Actively helps the department meet the identified Patient Satisfaction goal.
· Demonstrates regular attendance and participation at scheduled department and team meetings.
· Comply with all Federal, State, organizational, and departmental policies and procedures. |

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent - must provide proof upon hire
Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) must have prior to start date |
Preferences [Preferred attributes for the position which are not absolutely required in the minimum qualifications (i.e., multi-lingual, master’s degree)]

· Ability to manage and utilize technological resources (computers, phone, tablets, etc.)
· CNA/LNA experience
· Phlebotomy experience
· EMT Experience |

- Lifting equipment up to 50lbs, pushing equipment up to 150lbs, and assisting with the movement of an adult patient weighing over 300lbs
- Ability to safely lift and physically manipulate patients
- Standing and walking for the duration of the entire scheduled shift
