Lead with purpose. Drive efficiency. Make an impact.

Are you a confident and experienced team leader ready to take ownership of key financial processes in a fast-paced, patient-focused healthcare environment? We’re looking for a Business Finance Manager to oversee and support our Billing, Credit Control, and Provider Ledger teams at KIMS Hospital – the largest independent hospital in Kent.

In this vital role, you’ll manage and develop a team of 11, responsible for revenue accuracy, invoicing, and provider payments – all while ensuring a positive and professional experience for patients and stakeholders alike. If you thrive in a dynamic setting where no two days are the same, and you're passionate about process improvement and people development, this is your opportunity to shine.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the Billing, Credit Control, and Provider Ledger teams, setting the standard for professional behaviour and collaboration.
  • Oversee billing accuracy and ensure all patient charges align with contracted prices.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of Private Medical Insurance (PMI) contracts in our systems, working closely with the Commercial team.
  • Manage month-end reporting, pre-authorisation checks, invoice compliance, and Work in Progress targets.
  • Handle escalated queries from patients or internal teams with empathy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with departments across the hospital to streamline revenue processes.
  • Monitor provider payments and ensure timely and accurate consultant remittances.
  • Continuously review, enhance, and standardise procedures across all sites for improved performance and control.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience leading and managing teams, ideally within a billing or finance function.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to build trust with teams and stakeholders alike.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, with the confidence to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A drive for continuous improvement, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Education to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.

What We Offer

At KIMS Hospital, we know our people are our greatest strength. That’s why we’re proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports your wellbeing at every stage of life:

  • Competitive salary
  • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus your birthday off

  • Employee Assistance Platform
