Your Role at KIK

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading day-to-day warehouse operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient material flow, accurate inventory management, and safe, compliant operations. This role oversees warehouse staff, coordinates logistics, and partners cross-functionally to support production and shipping goals. 

This is a 2nd shift position, with shift hours being Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am with overtime as needed. The pay for this role is $24.63 per hour.

 

What You’ll Do

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Direct and support warehouse employees in daily operational tasks 

  • Supervise off-site warehouse personnel, including CDL drivers 

  • Coordinate trailer placement and scheduling for next-day shipments 

  • Ensure timely receipt of transshipment loads based on appointment schedules 

  • Assist with loading, unloading, and line pulling as needed 

  • Train team members on warehouse processes, systems, and equipment 

 

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Perform and oversee cycle counts; participate in monthly and annual inventory audits 

  • Maintain accurate inventory of finished goods, raw materials, bottles, pallets, and corrugate 

  • Ensure daily corrugate staging aligns with next-day production needs 

  • Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices across all materials 

  • Maintain accurate trailer inventories and warehouse records 

 

Shipping & Logistics

  • Track and report daily shuttle activity, including loads shipped and received per shift 

  • Print and manage Bills of Lading (BOL), pick tickets, and work orders 

  • Complete daily ship confirmations and “ship-not-billed” reports; submit to accounting 

  • Maintain and communicate local shipping and delivery schedules 

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all outbound shipments 

 

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize JD Edwards (E1) system for inventory control, shipping, and order processing 

  • Operate RF scanning equipment to manage inventory and transactions 

  • Maintain required documentation and operational records 

 

Production Support

  • Partner with production and department leaders to ensure continuous line and palletizer operations 

  • Read and interpret production schedules to align warehouse activities 

 

Safety, Compliance & Equipment

  • Follow and enforce all safety policies, GMP standards, and company procedures 

  • Understand and adhere to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) requirements 

  • Ensure proper use and care of warehouse equipment, including palletizers, shrink wrappers, and trailers 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 

 

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with line leads, supervisors, and cross-functional teams 

  • Ensure shift-to-shift continuity, including completion of “wish lists” and material transfers

 

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse systems; JD Edwards experience a plus 

  • Familiarity with RF scanners and shipping documentation (BOLs, pick tickets, etc.) 

  • Ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities 

  • Strong communication and organizational skills 

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
