Position: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable PCA to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of children by supporting their daily needs and helping them succeed in a structured classroom environment.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, are team-oriented, and want to be part of a meaningful, supportive setting.
About the Classroom (ELWYN Program)
This structured classroom supports young children with disabilities through individualized instruction, adapted learning activities, and social-emotional development.
- Work alongside a Special Instructor
- Follow the ELWYN academic calendar
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (SLPs, OTs, PTs, BSCs, and more)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students
- Assist with daily routines, personal care, and classroom activities
- Support implementation of behavioral and instructional strategies
- Encourage social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and therapy staff
- Communicate effectively with team members and caregivers
- Document daily support and observations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children preferred (ASD, special education, or healthcare experience a plus)
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced environment
- Current PA clearances (or willingness to obtain)
- Training provided
Schedule
Monday–Friday (following ELWYN school calendar)
