All Things Craft is a dynamic and growing business committed to quality, creativity, and excellence. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Key Accountant to join our finance team and play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations.
Role Overview
The Key Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting, along with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Transaction Management
• Ensure all entries related to sales and purchases are recorded accurately on a daily basis.
• Generate invoices for all sales transactions, maintaining a systematic and up-to-date record.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
Reporting & MIS
• Design and implement a robust MIS (Management Information System) reporting format tailored to the company's needs.
• Present real-time data on receivables and payables to key executives to support informed and timely decision-making.
• Perform and present in-depth analysis of key business parameters as required by senior executives and the Board of Directors.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Develop and monitor key financial KPIs and dashboards for management review.
Compliance & Taxation
• Co-ordinate with the relevant consultant to ensure timely filing of all tax returns (GST, TDS, VAT, Income Tax, etc.).
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory filings including ESIC, PF, PT, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Assist in tax planning and liaising with external auditors during annual audits.
Inventory & Stock Management
• Conduct periodic physical stock counts of all key raw materials and finished goods, reconciling with book data.
• Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records, and initiate corrective action.
• Work closely with the operations team to maintain accurate inventory valuations.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com). CA Inter or CA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing, FMCG, or brewery environment.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, SAP, or equivalent accounting software.
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory compliances applicable in India.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and MIS reporting.
• Prior experience in preparing MIS reports and presenting to senior management is highly desirable.
