Role Description
We are seeking Key Account Manager to lead client acquisition and relationship management for our Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) portfolio. This role serves as the critical bridge between our organization and high-value corporate clients—specifically Producers, Importers, and Brand Owners (PIBOs) across the FMCG, e-commerce, electronics, and manufacturing sectors. Candidates will be responsible for selling EPR fulfillment services, helping large corporate accounts navigate India’s Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rules, and ensuring their annual recycling targets are met with total transparency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Management & Onboarding
● Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated portfolio of strategic corporate accounts (PIBOs).
● Consult and pitch comprehensive EPR plastic compliance services to corporate sustainability teams.
● Oversee end-to-end client onboarding, ensuring clear communication regarding mandatory recycling obligations and tracking of deliverables.
2. EPR Compliance & Target Fulfillment
● Analyze client plastic usage profiles across CPCB categories: Category I (Rigid), Category II (Flexible), Category III (Multilayered), and Category IV (Compostable).
● Collaborate internally with operations and registered Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) to ensure timely fulfillment of recycling targets.
● Manage the procurement and validation of official CPCB EPR certificates and plastic credits to ensure legal and structural transparency.
3. Business Development & Revenue Growth
● Maintain a robust pipeline of enterprise accounts to achieve sales targets.
● Identify upselling opportunities within the sustainability ecosystem, including E-waste, Battery, or Tyre EPR, Carbon Credits, and ESG consulting.
● Formulate precise sales forecasts, margin analyses, and market feasibility reports for senior management.
4. Ecosystem Coordination & Compliance Liaison
● Coordinate with external stakeholders including waste collectors, scrap networks, urban local bodies (ULBs), and recyclers to maintain supply chain data integrity.
● Maintain audit-ready documentation as per State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) and Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) guidelines to address client queries and regulatory audits.
Qualifications
Educational Background
● Bachelor’s Degree: Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or Business Administration.
● Preferred: MBA in Marketing, Supply Chain, or Sustainability Management.
Professional Experience
● 3 to 7 years of proven success in enterprise B2B sales or account management.
● Preferred: Direct experience within the EPR, waste management, circular economy, or FMCG packaging ecosystem in India.
● Solid understanding of India’s Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rules and the CPCB online portal workflows.
