About Urjabox
Urjabox operates a shared power bank rental network across restaurants, gyms, cafés, and other high-footfall venues in Delhi NCR. Customers scan a QR code, pay ₹50, take a power bank, charge their phone, and return it — all without staff involvement. We have 250 charging stations deployed across the city and are growing rapidly.
Our Key Account Manager is the person who makes sure those 250 stations actually earn. This is a field-first, relationship-first role — you will be the face of Urjabox to our venue partners.
Why this role exists
Our BDEs close new venue deals. But once a station is installed, someone needs to own its performance. Right now, stations go under-used because venue staff don't mention Urjabox to customers, machines are placed in low-visibility spots, and small issues go unresolved for weeks.
The Key Account Manager fixes all of this. You protect our installed base, reactivate underperforming stations, and ensure every venue partner is engaged, informed, and incentivised.
What you will do
1. Station performance ownership
- Own a portfolio of 250 active stations across Delhi NCR — you are accountable for their monthly paid rental numbers
- Visit every station in your portfolio at least once a month; high-priority and low-performing stations fortnightly
- Track daily paid rentals per station from the Urjabox dashboard; flag stations dropping below threshold and act within 48 hours.
- Identify dead or underperforming stations and work with the ops team to relocate or reactivate them
2. Venue relationship management
- Build strong working relationships with venue owners, GMs, and managers at all partner locations
- Onboard new venues after installation — explain the revenue share model, train staff, confirm machine placement
- Conduct a 2-minute staff training script at every visit: what to say when a customer asks for charging, how to mention Urjabox naturally
- Resolve venue complaints and escalations within 24 hours; coordinate with the ops and tech team for hardware issues
- Ensure venue partners receive their monthly revenue share payout correctly and can see their station earnings
3. On-ground activation
- Place table tent cards, counter cards, and any physical marketing material at partner venues
- Ensure the Urjabox machine header/signage is visible, clean, and updated at every venue
- Verify machine placement — entrance or billing counter only; escalate and coordinate relocation if placement has drifted
- Run periodic spot checks: all 8 power bank slots working, cables intact, QR code scannable, screen functional
4. Reporting and insights
- Submit a weekly field report: stations visited, issues found, issues resolved, staff training completed, venue feedback
- Flag venues at risk of churning (owner complaints, machine moved, no rentals 2+ weeks) to the CEO immediately
- Identify and suggest top-performing venues as templates for new installs — document what makes them work.
- Track and report the revenue share payouts monthly; coordinate with finance for disbursement
Who you are
Must have
- 1–3 years of experience in account management, field sales, or venue/retail relationship management
- Comfortable visiting 8–12 venues per day across Delhi NCR — this is a high-mobility, field-first role
- Strong interpersonal skills — you can build rapport with a restaurant GM and a gym receptionist equally well
- Highly organised — you manage a portfolio of 100 locations and track each one's performance weekly
- Ownership mindset — you treat every underperforming station as your personal problem to solve
- Basic smartphone and app literacy — comfortable using dashboards, Google Sheets, and WhatsApp for reporting
- Fluent in Hindi; working knowledge of English for reports and communication with the CEO
Nice to have
- Prior experience in F&B, hospitality, or fitness industry venue management
- Experience working with hardware or IoT products in the field
- Own two-wheeler (scooty or bike) — speeds up venue visits significantly; petrol reimbursed at ₹4/km
You are not a fit if
- You prefer desk work over field work — this role requires daily travel to venues
- You need heavy supervision — you'll be working independently across the city
- You treat it as a 9-to-5 — venue visits often start at 12 pm (when restaurants open) and run until 9 pm
Compensation & growth
Fixed salary
₹20,000 – ₹25,000/month (based on experience)
Variable pay
₹200 for every station in your portfolio that crosses 30 paid rentals/month — uncapped
Travel
Metro fares reimbursed at actuals; own vehicle at ₹4/km
Mobile SIM
Company postpaid SIM provided
