Key Account Manager – 3PL Logistics
Location: Pipava Near Gujarat
Reporting To: Operations Head / Cluster Manager
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics operations for key clients within a 3PL environment. The role includes oversight of in-plant logistics, line feeding operations, warehouse/store management, and client relationship management, ensuring service excellence, cost optimization, and compliance with operational KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management
Act as the single point of contact for assigned key accounts.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular review meetings (daily/weekly/monthly) with clients.
Understand client requirements and align operations accordingly.
2.In-Plant Logistics Management
Oversee material movement within the plant (RM/FG/WIP).
Ensure smooth coordination between warehouse, production, and dispatch.
Monitor manpower deployment and productivity inside the plant.
Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
3.Line Feeding Operations
Ensure timely and accurate line feeding to production lines.
Avoid line stoppages by maintaining buffer stock and proper planning.
Coordinate with production and planning teams for schedule adherence.
Monitor FIFO/FEFO practices and material traceability.·
4.Warehouse / Store Operations
Manage inbound, storage, and outbound activities.
Ensure inventory accuracy and conduct regular cycle counts/audits.
Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout.
Implement and monitor WMS (if applicable).
5.Manpower & Vendor Management
Manage contractual manpower (CL/vendors) effectively.
Ensure proper attendance, discipline, and productivity tracking.
Coordinate wth HR for onboarding, training, and compliance.
Monitor vendor performance and SLA adherence.
6.Cost Control & Budgeting
Track and control operational costs (manpower, transport, etc.).
Identify cost-saving opportunities without impacting service quality.
Ensure billing accuracy and timely invoicing
Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with statutory norms (PF, ESIC, labour laws).
Maintain proper documentation for audits (internal/external).
Ensure adherence to SOPs and company policies.
MIS & Reporting
Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
Track KPIs such as productivity, TAT, inventory accuracy, OTIF, etc.
Analyze data and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Process Improvement
Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions.
Drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen initiatives in operations
Focus on automation and efficiency improvements.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate / MBA (Operations/Supply Chain preferred
5–10 years of experience in 3PL logistics
Strong experience in in-plant logistics, line feeding, and warehouse/store operations.
