Key Account Manager — Corporate Horticulture & IPC Channel
About The Desert Rose
The Desert Rose is Mumbai's fastest-growing organized horticulture services company. We design and maintain indoor plantscapes for Fortune 500 corporate offices including GE, Aditya Birla Group (6 sites), IndusInd Bank, and Swift. We're empanelled with JLL and CBRE. Founder-backed, profitable, and scaling 3x over the next 24 months.
We're hiring our first dedicated sales leader to build the corporate and IPC channel from the ground up.
The Role
You will own new business development across two channels:
- Direct corporate — large enterprises with multi-floor Mumbai offices
- IPC and FM partners — JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers, ISS, Sodexo, Compass, Knight Frank FM, Embassy Services
You will work directly with the founder, with full ownership of pipeline, proposals, pricing, and contract negotiation. This is a hunting role, not an account-management role — though you'll continue to own client relationships through to first renewal.
Why this role is different
- You walk into warm channels. JLL and CBRE empanelment is already done. Your job is to convert it into active deal flow, not start from zero.
- You have credible logos to sell with. GE, Aditya Birla, IndusInd are real customers, with real case studies you can reference.
- You report directly to the founder. No layers, no politics, decisions in days not weeks.
- You shape the sales function. As we scale to ₹10Cr+, this role grows into a sales leadership position with a team underneath you.
- Performance is rewarded. Variable comp is real, paid quarterly, gated on signed business.
What you'll do (first 12 months)
- Activate the JLL and CBRE empanelment — get into their RFP flow across Mumbai
- Add empanelment with Cushman, Colliers, ISS, and Sodexo
- Build and maintain a pipeline of 50+ facility managers across Mumbai's BKC, Lower Parel, Powai, Andheri, Thane, and CBD corridors
- Own end-to-end sales: cold outreach → meeting → site walkthrough → proposal → negotiation → signed contract
- Convert 18-24 new corporate sites in Year 1; scale to 36+ in Year 2
- Maintain CRM hygiene (we use Zoho/HubSpot)
- Represent The Desert Rose at industry events (IFMA, NFMT India)
What we need from you
- 3-5 years of B2B services sales experience — mandatory
- Direct working experience at, or selling into, JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers, ISS, Sodexo, Compass, Knight Frank FM, or Embassy Services — mandatory
- Established working relationships with facility managers across Mumbai
- Comfort with field sales — expect 60% of the week in client buildings, not at a desk
- Strong written and spoken English; ability to write polished proposals and client emails
- Bachelor's degree, any discipline
- Mumbai resident, with own vehicle preferred (travel reimbursed)
