Role Purpose
The Key Account Manager will act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for schools within the assigned territory, managing the end-to-end relationship from requirement gathering to order fulfilment and after sales service. The role demands close coordination with internal teams, proactive customer engagement, and a consultative approach to account management to ensure business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary contact for all partner schools in the assigned territory, ensuring strong and long-term relationships.
• Understand school requirements, academic calendars, and seasonal needs to plan and secure orders timely.
• Coordinate internally with operations, dispatch, and finance teams to ensure on-time deliveries and resolution of issues.
• Conduct regular customer feedback surveys to gauge satisfaction, identify improvement areas, and close service gaps.
• Proactively cross-sell and upsell CBS Hub’s other educational solutions, including library solutions, and Cambridge examiner.
• Ensure timely collections and reconciliation of accounts to maintain positive financial relationships.
• Plan and execute promotional and engagement events such as book fairs, academic exhibitions, or orientation programs in collaboration with school partners.
• Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences to provide insights for strategic planning.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, interactions, and pipeline activity in CRM systems.
Key Job Specifications
• Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in key account management, institutional sales, or educational publishing.
• Experience in school engagement or EdTech is an added advantage
• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in the education or publishing sector.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
