Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Supplier Strategic Manager to lead supplier relationship management in the logistics and supply chain space. This role is central to building long-term, high-value partnerships with our suppliers and converting those relationships into measurable business growth.
The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to identify strategic opportunities with suppliers that enhance ATAs global operations and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Strategy & Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with logistics suppliers.
- Develop and execute supplier engagement plans that align with ATAs global business strategy.
- Drive joint initiatives with suppliers to improve service, innovation, and value creation.
- Ensure timely and effective supplier response and collaboration.
Commercial & Business Growth:
- Identify new opportunities within supplier relationships that can translate into commercial growth.
- Work closely with Commercial and Operations teams to convert supplier strategies into revenue.
- Lead strategic negotiations and contracting with key suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Market & Regional Performance:
- Monitor supplier contributions to regional sales, profitability, and market expansion.
- Analyze trends, market share, and pipeline performance to guide strategic decisions.
- Ensure supplier strategies support ATAs growth across multiple geographies.
Financial & Operational Excellence:
- Deliver measurable results in supplier-driven revenue, cost-to-serve reduction, and margin improvement.
- Secure rebates, incentives, and other value-added supplier agreements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, Operations, HR, IT) to ensure alignment and compliance.
Leadership & Development:
- Act as a strategic backup for senior leadership in supplier management.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on supplier management best practices.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or supplier management roles.
- Proven success in building and managing strategic supplier relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to convert supplier partnerships into business opportunities.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, stakeholder management, and contract execution.
- Solid understanding of logistics operations and market dynamics.
