Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Key Account Manager (KAM) with strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations and customer service across Air Import, Air Export, Sea Import, and Sea Export. Candidates having expertise in at least Air & Sea Import operations and customer service will also be considered. The role involves managing key customer accounts, developing business opportunities, ensuring service excellence, coordinating with overseas agents, and driving revenue growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage Key Accounts across Air & Sea Import/Export business verticals.
2. Increase shipment volume, revenue, and gross margin from existing and new customers.
3. Build strong relationships with key clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Understand customer requirements and develop account strategies to generate profitable business opportunities.
5. Coordinate with sales, operations, customer service, and overseas agents for smooth shipment execution.
6. Handle customer service escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
7. Work closely with Air Import, Air Export, Sea Import, and Sea Export teams to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
8. Maintain competitive pricing by coordinating with product teams, overseas offices, and agents.
9. Generate and follow up on sales leads with overseas counterparts and support destination business closures.
10. Support RFQs, tenders, and pricing proposals in coordination with management and branch teams.
11. Conduct joint customer meetings and business development activities with sales teams.
12. Identify opportunities for deep selling and cross-selling across all logistics products and services.
13. Monitor customer performance, shipment trends, profitability, yield, and service levels regularly.
14. Ensure timely collections and maintain strict control over outstanding payments.
15. Prepare and maintain MIS reports, client performance reports, and management updates.
16. Review key account performance monthly regarding volume, gross margin, customer growth, and service quality.
17. Conduct regular customer reviews and service performance meetings with clients.
18. Coordinate with overseas visitors and arrange client meetings in India and overseas when required.
19. Maintain strong market knowledge, competitor activities, and customer business trends.
20. Support training and development initiatives for internal teams related to key accounts
