Position Title: Host/Hostess
Location: Kenwood Country Club – Terrace Grill & Hunt Room
Position Summary:
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests dining in the Terrace Grill and Hunt Room. This role is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations, seating, and overall flow of the dining rooms. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and committed to providing exceptional member service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests promptly with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Manage reservations and waitlists using the club’s reservation system
- Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections and dining room flow
- Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry areas
- Answer phone calls and assist members with dining inquiries and reservations
- Provide accurate information about menus, specials, and club events
- Assist with light side work as needed to support the dining team
Qualifications:
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
