Role:
We are seeking a dedicated RN - Registered Nurse / LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! The Registered Nurse (RN) / LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of residents in the Community, as well as effectively communicating with team members, families, physicians, and allied health professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure provision of quality nursing care in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements based on acuity of residents
- Make daily rounds to each resident to ascertain the resident’s condition and comfort
- Follow safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety
- Follows infection control guidelines
- Initiate procedures to protect residents from injury and infection
- Assess and evaluate resident change of condition and institute appropriate interventions
- Communicate with the Physician as indicated by resident needs or status and assure follow through; maintain hand-off communications with oncoming shift regarding resident care needs.
- Oversees direct care staff and ensures staff complete tasks and cares as assigned.
- Speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Ability to apply principles of basic general math.
