Job Description
The Inventory Data Entry Technician is responsible for accurately entering, maintaining, and auditing inventory-related data within the company’s ERP/MRP system. This role supports production, purchasing, and warehouse operations by ensuring real-time inventory accuracy and data integrity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions
- Enter daily inventory transactions including receipts, issues, transfers, cycle counts, and adjustments into ERP/MRP system.
- Maintain accurate item master data including part numbers, descriptions, units of measure, and bin locations.
- Verify production reports, work orders, and material usage for data accuracy.
- Process purchase order receipts and reconcile discrepancies with Purchasing and Receiving
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances in coordination with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams
- Generate inventory and transaction reports for management review
- Maintain organized electronic and physical documentation related to inventory transactions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and internal controls
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory accuracy and process efficiency.
- Print Shop orders
- Pull and stage parts for upcoming production.
- Additional job duties as requested.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 4-year Degree preferred and/or equivalent working experience.
- 1–3 years of data entry or inventory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (ie - NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
- NetSuite certification is helpful but not required.
