Job Description:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at KCH Transportation, you'll work to drive revenue growth by building relationships and identifying new business opportunities in the dynamic world of third-party logistics (3PL).

Job Summary:

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing leads through the sales pipeline. This role involves identifying potential customers, qualifying prospects, and setting up meetings for the account managers. The SDR works closely with marketing and account managers to ensure a cohesive approach to lead generation and nurturing.

Base salary range per year is $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 + commission. Base Pay is determined by multiple factors that vary based on the position and point of entry, including labor market conditions and, in some cases, education and work experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify Potential Customers: Conduct in-depth research to discover potential clients within target industries.
• Engage Cold Prospects: Utilize a mix of channels (email, phone, social media) to initiate meaningful contact.
• Build a Strong Pipeline: Create and manage a pipeline of potential leads and track progress toward sales goals.
• Qualify and Nurture Leads: Assess prospects based on their fit with our ideal customer profile, educate them on our services, and prepare them for handoff to account managers.
• Utilize CRM Systems: Manage leads and sales activities effectively using CRM software (Salesforce).
• Coordinate Meetings: Schedule meetings between qualified prospects and account managers, ensuring all parties are well-prepared.
• Collaborate on Strategy: Work closely with account managers and the marketing team to develop strategic approaches for lead generation.
• Provide Insightful Reporting: Deliver regular updates on sales activities, progress, and results.
• Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new messaging, and our evolving services.

Job Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a sales or customer service related role
• Some college coursework completed or Associate degree in relevant fields
• Familiarity with CRM systems and basic understanding of the sales process
