About the role

Position Summary KBR is seeking a Specialist, Cost Engineer to support our Oil & Gas, Government, and Infrastructure projects in our Houston, Texas office. This role will primarily focus on cost and schedule control, cost reporting, and cost forecasting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the cost engineering discipline with experience supporting large, complex projects. Responsibilities: - Develop cost estimates, cost models, and cost forecasts - Analyze cost data and provide reports on cost performance - Identify opportunities to improve cost control and optimize project costs - Participate in project planning and budgeting activities - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders - Provide technical expertise and recommendations to the project team Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field - 5+ years of relevant experience in cost engineering, cost control, or a similar role - Proficient in cost estimating, scheduling, and cost reporting software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment - Experience in the Oil & Gas, Government, or Infrastructure sectors is preferred
