- Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., approximately 24 hours per week (4.5 - 5 hours per day)
Position Description:
On a part-time basis, approximately 24 hours per week, the NorthCare Hospice House Volunteer Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Volunteer Services, and receives administrative oversight from the Director of Inpatient Services and/or the NorthCare Inpatient Managers. The Part-time NorthCare Hospice House Volunteer Coordinator oversees and strengthens volunteer services and on-site community programming at the NorthCare Hospice House. This role ensures a compassionate volunteer presence through effective recruitment, training, engagement, and compliance with hospice regulations. The coordinator works closely with hospice house staff and the volunteer services team to support patients, families, and volunteers.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business, Non-profit Management or related field, preferred.
- Motivation to work with the dying and bereaved, required.
- Minimum one (1) year relevant work experience in the field of Non-profit Development and/or Volunteerism required.
- Experience coordinating volunteers, preferably in a hospice, healthcare, or nonprofit environment preferred.
- Prior work experience with Non-profit Hospice programming, preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; working knowledge of Google applications preferred. Prior database management experience
preferred.
