Position Summary

The Construction Intern will support the construction management team with day-to-day coordination of active projects, helping ensure work progresses safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements. The intern will observe and document contractor activities to monitor adherence to specifications, plans, and other contract provisions, while working closely with experienced field engineers on various field projects. This position provides hands-on exposure to construction operations, project coordination, and collaboration within a professional project team.

Essential Functions

Prepare and track contracts and related documents.

Assist with coordinating construction activities between project managers, inspectors, contractors, and consultants.

Support project documentation, including meeting minutes, daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

Help track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables

Participate in site visits, progress meetings, and inspections as appropriate

Maintain organized project files and assist with document control

Assist with quantity tracking, cost monitoring, and basic reporting

Support compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and project requirements

Perform administrative and coordination tasks to support the construction team

Desired Qualifications

Actively pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant degree.

Exposure to construction documentation or field operations preferred but not required.

Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms preferred but not required.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Physical ability to move around an active construction site.

Time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with project management software is a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Self-motivated with strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills
