Come join us at Kahl Home!  We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1955.   Our state-of-the-art services, amenities, and excellent staff make Kahl Home a premier nursing facility in the Quad Cities.

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to become a part of our facility’s compassionate care-giving team and drive residents to appointments, events, as needed.

• Full-Time schedule.

Maintenance Technician: 

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in building and preventive maintenance required.
• Ability to operate common hand tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Maintenance Technician Summary:

• Preventive maintenance and repairs on all building equipment.
• Basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and refinishing work as needed.
• Mechanical repairs on hospital beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, commercial kitchen equipment, and commercial laundry equipment.
• Drive residents to appointments, events, as needed.
• Assist with snow removal using appropriate equipment, including snowplows.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and up-keep of computers.
