Position Summary
Supports customer site by ensuring safe work practices, clear communication, and consistent workflow coordination. Responsibilities include monitoring yard and equipment conditions, supporting drivers, documenting activities, coordinating resources, and assisting with problem‑solving to maintain efficient, high‑quality operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all terminal activities follow company and customer safety requirements; identify hazards and report incidents immediately.
- Support drivers with guidance and communication to maintain smooth workflow and address operational issues.
- Monitor yard conditions, equipment status, and general site activity; document findings and communicate needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including yard checks, shift reports, and operational updates.
- Coordinate with Dispatch, drivers, management, and customer contacts to ensure alignment on schedules, needs, and changes.
- Identify and help resolve operational challenges such as delays, equipment issues, or material shortages.
- Track resource availability—including tools, materials, and equipment—and notify Dispatch regarding shortages or replenishment needs.
- Support efforts to maintain schedule adherence and reduce downtime through proactive coordination.
- Provide basic on‑site training or guidance related to equipment use, safety expectations, and standard procedures.
