Any Certification in Azure Cloud and Kafka is preferred.
Role Overview :
The Kafka Architect will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing large scale realtime event streaming architectures using Apache KafkaConfluent Kafka This role involves creating robust scalable highly performant data pipelines and eventdriven systems that support enterprisegrade workloads The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in distributed systems stream processing cloudnative patterns and architectural governance.
Key Responsibilities :
Architectural Design Strategy
oDesign endtoend Kafkabased event streaming architectures for highthroughput lowlatency environments
oDefine architectural standards best practices reusable patterns schemas and governance models
oEnable eventdriven architecture EDA adoption across platforms and business units
oDevelop data modelling standards for events AvroJSON schemas serialization formats and schema evolution strategies
oImplement enterprisegrade security ACLs RBAC encryption network segmentation auditing and compliance
oImplement disaster recovery frameworks in seamless manner
Platform Engineering Implementation
Architect and oversee deployment of selfmanaged Kafka clusters
oLead capacity planning cluster sizing replication partitioning strategies high availability and disaster recovery
oImplement Kafka Connect and ksqlDB Spark streaming pipelines
CrossFunctional Leadership
oCollaborate with engineering DevOps cloud data and application teams to drive Kafka architecture adoption
oProvide mentoring and technical leadership to engineering teams on Kafka patterns and antipatterns
oReview solution architectures ensure alignment with enterprise standards and participate in architecture governance boards
Technical Expertise :
- 6 years of handson experience with Apache Kafka Confluent Platform Schema Registry Kafka Connect
- Strong knowledge of eventdriven architecture pubsub messaging stream processing and distributed systems
- Experience with stream processing frameworks Kafka Streams Spark Structured Streaming or ksqlDB
- Strong understanding of DevOps and automation tools Kubernetes Terraform Helm Ansible Jenkins GitHub Actions
- Expertise in cloud platforms AWSAzureGCP for deploying Kafka or managed services
- Proficiency in languages such as Java Scala Python or Go
- Strong knowledge on Kubernetes and helm
- Monitoring and observability frameworks like Prometheus and Grafana
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead architectural discussions and drive decisions
- Strong documentation and presentation abilities
