About the role
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all MEP works in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Prepare detailed MEP execution plans, method statements, and short-interval schedules (SIP).
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of MEP milestones aligned with overall construction timelines.
2. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Site Head, Civil/Finishing teams, Architects, Structural Consultants, MEP Consultants, and Contractors to resolve interface issues.
- Lead coordination meetings related to MEP services and ensure timely closure of action items.
- Liaise with utility authorities (electricity, water, fire, lift inspectors, etc.) for approvals and connections.
3. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Finalize scope of work and monitor performance of MEP contractors and subcontractors.
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and samples.
- Ensure availability of manpower, materials, and equipment as per project requirements.
- Certify contractor bills in alignment with work progress and contract terms.
4. Quality Assurance & Safety
- Ensure MEP installations meet design specifications, NBC codes, IS standards, local authority norms, and fire regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections, snag identification, and rectification with contractors.
- Ensure implementation of safety practices during MEP execution in coordination with the HSE team.
- Support testing, commissioning, and integrated trials of all MEP systems.
5. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Monitor MEP costs, control waste, and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Propose value engineering ideas without compromising quality or compliance.
- Track variations, extra items, and claims with proper documentation and approvals.
6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Plan and execute testing and commissioning of all MEP systems (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, Lifts).
- Ensure readiness for statutory inspections and occupancy certifications.
- Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and handover documents.
- Support smooth handover to facility management teams.
7. Team Leadership & Reporting
- Lead and mentor site-based MEP engineers and supervisors.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for submission to the Site Head.
- Highlight risks, delays, and mitigation plans proactively.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
(Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage)
Experience
- 18 - 20 years of overall experience in MEP execution
- Minimum 6–8 years in a senior site-based role for large residential or mixed-use projects
- Experience with high-rise residential projects preferred
