Role Description This is a full-time, remote Junior Video Editor Trainee role focused on supporting the creation of digital video content for Midgrow and its clients. The trainee will assist in editing raw footage into polished videos, including basic cuts, transitions, and simple effects aligned with brand guidelines and project briefs. They will help with organizing media assets, preparing project timelines, and collaborating with designers and marketers to ensure videos support campaign goals and content strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include learning and applying video editing best practices, supporting basic color adjustments, and assisting in the integration of simple motion graphics. The role involves working closely with senior editors to receive feedback, iterate on edits, and continuously develop technical and creative skills in a structured training environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Video Production and an understanding of end-to-end video workflows.
- Candidates should possess basic Video Editing skills, including trimming, sequencing, and applying transitions in common editing software.
- Candidates should possess introductory Video Color Grading skills, such as adjusting exposure, contrast, and color balance.
- Candidates should possess basic Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to support simple titles, overlays, and visual elements.
- Interest in digital marketing and social media content formats, with an eye for engaging visual storytelling.
- Ability to follow creative briefs, take feedback constructively, and work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Relevant coursework, certifications, or a portfolio of personal projects in video or media are beneficial; formal degree in film, media, design, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
