We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Video Editor who is passionate about visual storytelling and eager to create engaging digital content that connects with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate should not only be skilled in editing, but also bring original ideas, a strong creative vision, and an understanding of emerging trends and new video styles.
The Role
As a Junior Video Editor, you'll work closely with our content, social media, and marketing teams to edit videos for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms. From event highlights and interviews to reels, podcasts, and promotional campaigns, you'll help bring our stories to life through compelling visuals, seamless editing, and fresh creative thinking.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their editing skills while working on meaningful content and large-scale events. We’re especially looking for someone who can think beyond basic edits, suggest original concepts, and help shape content that feels current, engaging, and visually distinctive.
What You'll Do
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for social media and digital platforms.
- Create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, and event after-movies.
- Bring original ideas to the table and contribute creative concepts for new content formats.
- Stay on top of trends, viral formats, and emerging video styles across social media platforms.
- Experiment with fresh editing approaches, transitions, pacing, and storytelling techniques to keep content dynamic and relevant.
- Add motion graphics, text animations, transitions, subtitles, music, and sound effects where required.
- Work with the content and social media teams to ensure videos align with campaign objectives, brand guidelines, and overall creative vision.
- Organize and manage video assets, footage, and project files efficiently.
- Repurpose existing content into multiple formats for different platforms.
- Assist with basic colour correction, audio balancing, and exporting videos in platform-specific formats.
- Support live event coverage by editing quick turnaround content during conferences, festivals, and other activations.
- Help develop a strong visual identity across content by maintaining consistency while also exploring new creative directions.
What We're Looking For
- 0–2 years of experience in video editing (internships and freelance projects are welcome).
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is an advantage.
- A strong sense of storytelling, pacing, composition, and visual flow.
- The ability to think creatively and come up with original ideas for content.
- An understanding of current trends, new video styles, and platform-specific content formats.
- A clear creative vision and the ability to translate ideas into engaging edits.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to receive and implement feedback.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A proactive attitude, curiosity to learn, and enthusiasm for creating high-quality content.
- A willingness to experiment, adapt, and evolve with changing digital trends.
Bonus Points If You
- Have experience editing podcasts or interview-style content.
- Have worked on event videos or lifestyle content.
- Understand current social media trends and viral video formats.
- Can suggest fresh content ideas and innovative ways to repurpose footage.
- Have an interest in sustainability, conscious living, food, wellness, or community-driven storytelling.
- Enjoy exploring new editing styles, visual references, and creative storytelling techniques.
