Equiniti’s journey to build and develop a captive offshore finance facility started in 2016, with a view to centralise the core transactional accounting. This resulted in the creation of a Finance Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Chennai which comprises the following teams: Record to Report (RTR), Procure to Pay (PTP), Master Data Management and Data Analysis (MDM), Order to Cash (OTC) and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
In recent years, the Finance SSC has extended its Global footprint to support geographies beyond UK, expanding the remit in operating areas to help sustain, and improve, the control environment for the Group. The Finance SSC has continued to successfully drive value-add and continuous improvement along the value chain by providing high quality services in specialised areas of External Financial Reporting, Procurement, and Internal Audit
All of this made possible by over 100 dedicated, articulate, and forward-thinking colleagues in the Finance SSC who play a pivotal role in our transformative journey. The most recent achievement of the combined team includes successfully implementing Workday in 2020 – the global finance, procurement and human capital management ERP which is now used by globally by all of Equiniti’s businesses and employees.
Role Overview:
Supporting senior team members in preparing test cases, executing testcases and raised defects for the failed test cases. Maintain the test artefacts, learning test automation and assisting the automation testers capturing the object properties in the repository/keyword sheet and test execution.
JOB PROFILE:
Core Duties/Responsibilities
Writing of test conditions/scenarios, test scripts with expected results and test data for testing projects
• Writing automated test scripts using Selenium test automation tool & executing the automation test suites.
• Manual Test execution while accurately recording and storing test results.
• Implementing scheduled tests, execution and logging the tests and evaluating the results and documenting any deviations from expected results.
• Defect retesting, fault reviews and defect analysis of any issues raised.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours:
- A good knowledge in Agile methodology.
- A good understanding of test methods, covering - system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, negative testing, and platform testing.
- Good knowledge in development team that follows SDLC.
- Knowledge in manual testing concepts both Client Server, Web, and Mobile applications.
- Should possess knowledge in, defect management system and Database knowledge.
- Basic concepts of API testing.
- Knowledge in software testing tool Selenium using C# / Java.
Experience/Certification
Training certification from the reputed institution is added advantage.
Education/Qualifications
BE/ME/BCA/MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science with excellent track record.
