Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to support our studio’s IT infrastructure, including workstations, render systems, and network environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced animation production setup.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and maintain artist workstations (Windows/Linux-based)
Support and monitor render farm systems and ensure smooth job processing
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for artists and production teams
Manage user accounts, permissions, and shared storage access
Assist in maintaining servers, NAS/storage systems, and backups
Ensure smooth functioning of animation software (Maya, Blender, Adobe Suite, etc.)
Monitor system performance (CPU, GPU, RAM usage) across machines
Support installation, updates, and licensing of software tools
Maintain internal documentation for IT processes and fixes
Coordinate with pipeline/production teams to resolve technical bottlenecks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent skills)
Basic understanding of Windows/Linux systems
Knowledge of networking basics (LAN, TCP/IP, file sharing)
Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting (CPU/GPU/RAM issues)
Basic understanding of storage systems and backups
Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a startup environment
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Exposure to render farms / distributed computing
Familiarity with animation tools (Maya, Blender, After Effects, etc.)
Basic knowledge of NAS, RAID, or shared storage systems
Experience with GPU-based workflows
Scripting basics (Python/Bash/PowerShell)
Knowledge of cloud rendering or services (AWS, Azure)
