Role: Junior Support Engineer - L1
Experience: 3-6Years
Work Location: Mumbai(Kanjurmarg)
Notice Period: Immediate to max 15 days
Role Overview
The Junior Support Engineer will provide first-level support for business- critical applications and systems. This role is responsible for incident logging, basic troubleshooting, initial issue analysis, and timely escalation of unresolved issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for incidents and service requests.
- Perform initial troubleshooting for Java or .NET- based applications.
- Run basic to intermediate MS SQL queries for data validation, issue checks, and support analysis.
- Log, categorize, prioritize, and track tickets in the ticketing system.
- Monitor application alerts, logs, jobs, and failures.
- Communicate issue status and resolution updates to users and stakeholders.
- Follow ITIL- based incident management and escalation processes.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the Senior Support Engineer or relevant technical teams.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Java or .NET applications and debugging concepts.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL queries, joins, and data verification.
- Familiarity with application logs, monitoring, and ticketing tools.
- Basic understanding of ITIL concepts such as incident, problem, and change management.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in application support or technical support.
- Exposure to production support environments.
- Basic understanding of APIs and web applications.
- Experience working in rotational support or shift- based support environments.
