Job details:
Mandira Design Studio | Kochi, Kerala
About Us At Mandira Design Studio, we craft timeless, tropical modern architecture that connects people deeply with nature. Based in Kochi, our work spans eco-conscious residential, hospitality, and community projects. We believe in human-centered design . We are a close-knit, highly creative team looking for a bright, organized recent graduate to grow with us and become the operational anchor of our studio.
The Opportunity Are you a recent graduate who loves organization, has a head for numbers, and wants to learn the business side of the creative industry? We don't expect you to know everything on day one. Instead, we offer direct mentorship and a structured 90-day training roadmap to teach you how to manage a thriving architectural practice. You will learn how to bridge the gap between creative design and smooth business operations.
What You Will Learn & Do
- Month 1 (The Observer): Shadow our core team, learn our 7-stage architectural workflow, and understand how a design studio operates from the inside out. Get familiar with our digital filing and documentation standards.
- Month 2 (The Facilitator): Step into managing daily office operations. You will begin handling petty cash, tracking expenses, and learning to manage our design software licenses and office procurement.
- Month 3 & Beyond (The Owner): Take charge of our invoicing calendar, coordinate with our external accountants using software like Tally or QuickBooks, and handle basic HR tasks like onboarding interns. You will ensure our architects can focus purely on design while you handle the administrative friction.
Who We Are Looking For
- Education: A recent graduate with a degree in B.Com (Finance/Taxation), BBA, or a related field. A solid academic understanding of basic accounting (GST, profit/loss, double-entry bookkeeping) is essential.
- The "Hospitable Organizer": You naturally take charge of logistics. Whether you organized college fests or led a student club, you know how to manage people and details with a smile.
- Digitally Fluent: You are quick to learn new software, comfortable with cloud-based tools, and tech-savvy.
- Culture Fit: You have strong emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in sustainability, ecology, and the built environment. You enjoy making order out of creative chaos.
What We Offer
- Direct, hands-on training and mentorship in studio management.
- A supportive, human-centered, and vibrant work environment.
- A clear path for career growth as the studio expands.
How to Apply Ready to build your career with us? Send your resume along with a short, honest cover letter (or email) telling us about a time you successfully organized a project or event, and why you want to work in an eco-conscious design studio.
