Job Description
BNP Associates is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across our growing global organization. This role focuses on transactional accounting, financial data accuracy, and supporting core accounting processes across multiple entities, including recently acquired companies.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain experience in a multi-entity, global environment, with exposure to U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role on the Finance Team. The position’s key responsibilities include:
- Process accounts payable (AP) entries, including invoice coding and subledger tracking
- Support accounts receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, collections tracking, and payment application
- Reconcile and manage corporate credit card transactions
- Review and audit employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance
- Perform accurate data entry and maintenance in Deltek ERP system
- Assist with international bank reconciliations across multiple entities
- Track and maintain lease schedules and related financial data
- Support budget vs. actual expense tracking and reporting
- Support client invoicing processes across BNP and acquired entities, ensuring consistency and accuracy
- Help standardize invoicing procedures and billing practices across entities
- Assist with Deltek integration efforts for acquired companies
- Support alignment of financial data, processes, and reporting across entities
- Participate in initiatives such as expense auditing and AI model training support
- Monitor and manage the Finance team email inbox, ensuring timely responses and proper routing
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the accounting team
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather required financial information
- Assist with month-end close tasks (reconciliations, support schedules)
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Support audit preparation across multiple entities
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization
Qualifications
Below is an outline of the minimum qualifications for this position.
- 1–2+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP exposure preferred; IFRS exposure a plus)
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Deltek experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Working Conditions
- This full-time position is based in our Bangalore, IND office.
- Standard 40-hour work week with occasional additional time required to meet deadlines
- This position is fully in office as the finance team works collaboratively in the office daily.
