Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Junior Sous Chef role located in Bhubaneswar. The Junior Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. Responsibilities include ensuring food quality, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, inventory management, and supervising kitchen staff. The role also involves assisting in training junior team members and contributing innovative culinary ideas.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating
- Skills in kitchen management, including inventory control and adherence to food safety standards
- Ability to supervise and train staff, ensuring teamwork and consistent performance
- Creativity with menu planning and the ability to contribute to innovative culinary ideas
- Strong understanding of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation areas
- Relevant culinary certifications or diploma/degree in Culinary Arts
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment
- Excellent time management and communication skills
