Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Junior Sous Chef located in Manali. The Junior Sous Chef will assist in crafting exceptional baked goods, coffee accompaniments, and brunch dishes while maintaining kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities include supporting menu planning, managing inventory, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Collaboration with the head chef to innovate and introduce new menu items will also be a key part of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation, baking, and culinary techniques specific to brunch and café-style menus
- Experience in kitchen operations, including inventory management and maintaining food safety standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and collaborate with kitchen staff effectively
- Creativity and a passion for developing new dishes and recipes to enhance the dining experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- A professional culinary certification or equivalent experience is a plus
- Relevant experience in similar roles within the hospitality and food & beverage industry
